Our Name
What Elyon means
Elyon is a Hebrew word meaning "The Most High". It carries a deeper significance that shapes everything we do.
We believe that success is a solitary and difficult climb. It demands sacrifice, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to a vision. But once you reach the top — once you have achieved stability — you gain something rare: the ability to look down from above and extend a hand to those still making their way up.
That is the essence of Elyon Foundation. We stand at the summit not to rest, but to fund and empower the projects that need it most — initiatives aligned with the urgent, often overlooked needs of our time: privacy, social welfare, digital security, and individual freedom.
We exist to ensure that bold, courageous projects — the ones that challenge mass surveillance, resist standardization, fight precarity, and combat isolation — do not merely survive. They must prosper and endure. We believe these projects deserve more than applause. They deserve the resources to last.
Our Funds
Where the funds come from
Our funds come from long-term financial investments — excess generated by markets.
We choose to remain private by design. Not to hide, but because we are privacy-oriented. We believe excess should not sit in a single pocket when it can serve many.
That excess is being redistributed to a multiplicity of projects that already exist — proof that giving can be tangible and that our commitment is real.
We may share suggestions on how to steward the resources, but the creators remain in charge. The funds support the project and its collaborators, so that others can benefit from the goods and services they create.
